Selection of superior sweet potato genotypes for human consumption via mixed models

چکیده
The growing consumer demand for sweet potato roots results in the need genotypes with higher yields and better root quality. Thus, objective of this study was to agronomically evaluate via mixed models select superior human consumption predict their selection gains. had a partially balanced triple lattice design three replicates. As treatments, 92 from Universidade Federal de Lavras germplasm bank selected first cycle were evaluated along eight controls, namely, Brazlândia Roxa, Princesa, Uruguaiana, BRS Amélia, Beauregard, UFVJM-57, UFVJM-58, UFVJM-61. treatments ranked by linear model restricted maximum likelihood (REML) best unbiased prediction (BLUP). We highlighted 15 each agronomic trait, then identified ones overall considering all quantitative qualitative traits. High heritability found trait commercial yield (56.31%). For traits, there gains relative population mean. use efficient genotypes. 2018-19-464, 2018-72-1409, 2018-72-1428, 2018-19-443, 2018-36-807, 2018-72-1418, 2018-19-455, 2018-72-1376, 2018-54-1137, 2018-54-1114, 2018-65-1249, 2018-28-556 have good traits related quality may be recommended consumption.

In Vitro Conservation of Sweet Potato Genotypes
The aim of this study was to develop a protocol for the in vitro conservation of sweet potato genotypes using the slow growth technique. The first experiment was conducted in a 4 × 5 × 2 factorial scheme, testing four genotypes (IPB-007, IPB-052, IPB-072, and IPB-137), five concentrations of abscisic acid (ABA) (0.0, 1.0, 2.0, 4.0, and 8.0 mg·L⁻¹), and two temperatures (18 and 25°C). The second...
متن کاملEvaluation of Drought Tolerance Indices for Selection of Superior Genotypes in Black Cumin (Nigella sativa L.)
Drought stress is considered as one of the most important constraints to the crop production, including medicinal plants in many arid and semi-arid regions. This study was carried out to determine the most effective indices for drought tolerance and identification of tolerance genotypes under drought conditions in N. sativa. For this purpose, 36 genotypes of N. sativa were tested as a split plo...

Soybean is the promising oilseed in the face of protein and oil shortage. In this study 16 advanced soybean genotypes, in terms of seed yield and yield components were evaluated using multivariate statistical methods. This experiment was carried out in the form of randomized complete block design (RCBD) in the research farm of Ardabil Agricultural and Natural Resources Research Center (Moghan...

Field sweet potato plants showing virus-like symptoms, as stunting, leaf distortion, mosaic and chlorosis, were collected in southwest Portugal and tested for the presence of four potyviruses, sweet potato virus C (SPVC), sweet potato virus 2 (SPV2), sweet potato feathery mottle virus (SPFMV), sweet potato virus G (SPVG), and the crinivirus sweet potato chlorotic stunt virus (SPCSV). DsRNA frac...
متن کاملSweet-potato Scurf
The scurf disease of the sweet potato (Ipomoea batatas) was first described by Halsted, who published a brief account of it in 1890. To the fungus he gave the name Monilochaetes infuscans, a new genus and species, of which, unfortunately, he gave no technical description. For many years following his pioneer work little or no attention was given to sweet-potato diseases. This very common and in...
